What It Means to Be a Good Neighbor
At CleanArc, the work of building a better world doesn’t stop at the edge of a data campus. Through the company’s Good Neighbor Campaign, CleanArc is committed to giving back to the communities where it operates, supporting not only the infrastructure that powers the digital economy but also the people who will shape the future.
Being a good neighbor can mean different things to different people, depending on who you ask. For CleanArc, that means recognizing that strong communities build strong futures, and we believe success starts in the classroom. Fredericksburg and the surrounding Spotsylvania and Caroline County areas are home to the people who power CleanArc’s vision, and the company is proud to invest directly back into those communities. Showing up with purpose is how we contribute to that strength.

Powering the Next Generation
CleanArc’s mission is to power what comes next in technology and society. While that often means developing sustainable hyperscale campuses to support the world’s most critical workloads, it also means investing in human potential.
Just as servers need reliable power to perform at their best, so do students. When children have the tools and encouragement they need, their potential multiplies and their success ripples outward into families, communities, and even future industries.
That ripple effect is why CleanArc is already exploring ways to deepen its support for young people.
A Back-to-School Boost
This summer, CleanArc partnered with the Rappahannock Area YMCA to support its Bright Beginnings program, which ensures local students start the school year on equal footing with their peers.
Through this partnership, CleanArc funded 20 full Bright Beginnings experiences for students in the Caroline YMCA program. Each child received a new backpack, clothing essentials, and school supplies, and, just as importantly, the chance to shop alongside a supportive volunteer who turned a routine back-to-school trip into a moment of dignity and joy.
For a child, something as simple as a new backpack and a fresh pair of shoes can mean walking into class filled with confidence. For the community, it’s a reminder that they are not alone, that their neighbors are investing in their children’s success.
CleanArc commends the YMCA for the leadership, energy, and dedication it brings to creating this empowering program year after year. Bright Beginnings proves that when a community comes together, small actions can add up to transformational impact.
Sustainability Includes People
In the data center industry, sustainability is often measured in terms of renewable energy, carbon reduction, and operational efficiency. CleanArc embraces these measures but believes true sustainability goes beyond kilowatts and offsets.
A resilient future must also be socially sustainable. That means investing in people with the same intentionality used to invest in technology. By supporting programs like Bright Beginnings, CleanArc is making tangible contributions to the human side of sustainability, helping ensure that tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and caretakers have every opportunity to succeed.
This year’s donation is just one of the first steps. In the years ahead, CleanArc hopes to expand its community impact by creating scholarships, advocating for STEM education, and inspiring young people to see themselves in technology-driven careers, including data centers.
Building for the Future, Together
The same care that CleanArc brings to designing sustainable infrastructure is being extended to building stronger, more connected communities.
Through the Good Neighbor Campaign, initiatives like Bright Beginnings aren’t one-off acts of generosity; they’re part of an ongoing commitment to support the people CleanArc calls neighbors.
This year may mark CleanArc’s first participation in Bright Beginnings, but it certainly won’t be the last. The company looks forward to returning next year and continuing to grow its impact with the YMCA and local schools.
Because for CleanArc, powering tomorrow’s digital future also means investing in the people who will inherit it.
