CleanArc Data Centers is seeking a Transmission Analyst. The Transmission Analyst will provide specialized expertise and analytical support on transmission and interconnection matters. This role involves performing transmission analysis to assess gridrelated risks, developing strategies for selecting project sites with sufficient transmission availability, leading the interconnection process, representing the company in regional forums, and managing consultants for power system and market studies. Additionally, the Transmission Analyst will monitor and report on regulatory activities, market trends, and energy development dynamics while preparing comprehensive presentations for the Senior Leadership Team and clients. This is a full-time, exempt role, with a preference for someone local to the Las Vegas area, but remote candidates will be considered. Relocation is negotiable.

• Provide expertise and analytical support on transmission and interconnection issues.
• Perform transmission analysis to forecast system conditions to assess grid related risks and provide analyses of congestion and basis risks for potential and existing data center infrastructure and renewable energy projects with a long- term view of the market.
• Develop strategies to select new project sites and evaluate opportunities with transmission-related work to ensure each project has sufficient transmission/interconnection availability for project competitiveness.
• Lead the interconnection process for the company’s projects, from assessment of interconnection options, overseeing the preparation of interconnection and Load Study applications, evaluation of utility technical studies, and negotiation of transmission service agreements.
• Provide assessments of transmission-related market dynamics, such as LMP pricing, nodal basis risks, congestion risks, etc. using available data or by performing security constrained economic analysis in the company’s commercially available software tools.
• Thoroughly and concisely document and explain interconnection status to internal project developers and third parties during project development and financing.
• Represent the company’s interests in regional forums, ISOs, RTOs etc. as needed.
• Manage outside consultants in performing power system and power market studies and effectively communicate the results to project development, origination, engineering, and finance groups.
• Monitor and report on transmission related regulatory and trade group activities, trends in the renewable energy development space including energy policies, power market economics, utility incentives, retail rates keeping track of market dynamics and conventions that may impact the company.
• Provide transmission expertise to support project permitting efforts.
• Prepare presentations and analysis for Senior Leadership Team and CleanArc clients.

• Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Emphasis in power systems strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Transmission planning and interconnection fundamental experience with strong power flow modeling skills.
• Familiarity with wholesale and retail energy markets, and renewable energy project development preferred.
• Experience with PSS/E, or similar power flow software.
• Experience in electric transmission planning, operations or related discipline.
• Strong computing skills including MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communicator, both in writing and in presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt and respond in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to balance competing demands and priorities, while working independently and as a team.
• Knowledge of electric theory with strong understanding of utility and ISO operations and transmission planning process.
• Flexibility and willingness to work on various initiatives simultaneously.

• Remote work is permitted, with proximity to Las Vegas, Dallas, or Northern Virgina preferred.
• Up to 30% travel to take part in internal meetings and external sales engagements.
• Periodic participation in industry conferences and events.
• In the near term, the focus of all business activities will be the domestic US.
