The Relationship Manager – Hyperscale plays a critical role in fostering and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with hyperscale data center customers (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Oracle) and emerging large tenants such as CoreWeave. This role requires a deep understanding of the hyperscale market, its evolving needs, and the ability of CleanArc to meet current and future requirements. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
This role will be focused on collaboration and team success, where compensation is based on team-wide performance. Successful candidates will partner closely with internal teams to align customer needs with business capabilities. The ideal candidate will have existing relationships with or in support of the hyperscale industry, strong data center experience, and a passion for cultivating long-term customer partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain strong relationships: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within and across hyperscale organizations.
- Market intelligence: Gather and analyze market data, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and anticipate customer needs.
- Business development:
- Identify and source new business opportunities with hyperscale customers.
- Work with CCO to execute strategic plans to achieve team revenue and market share goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential partnerships and joint ventures.
- Negotiation and contract management:
- Assist with negotiations on complex contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Manage contract renewals and amendments.
- Customer advocacy:
- Represent customer interests internally within the company.
- Proactively address customer concerns and resolve issues effectively.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, legal, and finance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners and consultants.
- Market representation:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Build thought leadership through presentations, publications, and industry engagements.
- Other duties ancillary to the foregoing or as assigned.
- Promote a responsible platform of inclusion and diversity within CleanArc Data Centers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business development, account management, or a related role within the data center industry or experience in site selection/data center capacity procurement for a hyperscaler.
- Proven track record of success in building and maintaining relationships with or for hyperscale customers.
Knowledge: - Deep understanding of the hyperscale cloud computing market, including its trends, technologies, and key players.
- In-depth knowledge of data center development, operations, and technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Skills: - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Education: - Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS - 30% domestic travel estimated.
- Remote: If the employee is not based in a preferred location, then regular travel to a main office location is expected for team and company meetings and events.
