VICE PRESIDENT, CONSTRUCTION

CleanArc Data Centers (www.cleanarcdatacenters.com) is seeking a VP, Construction, to lead all aspects of construction execution for our hyperscale data center campuses.

The Vice President, Construction will report directly to the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) and serve as a critical member of the Delivery leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to join a company in a high-growth, early phase where foundational decisions and strategies are still being shaped. The ideal candidate brings deep technical and operational expertise and is energized by building not just physical infrastructure, but scalable systems, collaborative teams, and best practices from the ground up.

You will lead the end-to-end construction execution of our hyperscale data center campuses—mega projects that require precise coordination across engineering, procurement, permitting, and commissioning. These projects are central to the company’s growth strategy and involve complex, multi-phase development in highly dynamic environments.

In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring that each campus is delivered on time, on budget, and with the highest standards of quality and safety. You will lead internal construction teams and manage a wide network of external general contractors, consultants, and trade partners, while aligning closely with peers across design, development, operations, and finance. The role demands a hands-on, execution-focused leader who can also operate strategically and scale for the long term.

THE COMPANY
At CleanArc, we’ve created a first-of-its-kind solution that takes hyperscale data center development to a new level. Our team of data center veterans and power structuring experts has assembled the critical components — development at campus-scale, renewable energy structuring for carbon offset goals, and “data center production” via innovative offsite manufacturing partnerships— into a turn-key solution for hyperscalers seeking to expand quickly, sustainably, and cost-efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide strategic oversight of the full construction lifecycle for hyperscale campuses across multiple sites and markets.
  • Partner with the CDO and executive team to align construction strategy with overall development and business goals.

Project Management

  • Oversee project execution from design handoff through delivery, including schedule, budget, safety, and quality.
  • Drive project delivery models, including EPC, design-build, and CM-at-risk contracts.

Team & Vendor Oversight

  • Build and lead a high-performing internal construction team.
  • Select, negotiate with, and manage general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
  • Lead contractor performance management and resolve escalated project issues.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Develop and manage capital budgets and construction cash flow forecasts.
  • Drive value engineering and cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or reliability.

Operational Integration

  • Partner with design, operations, and delivery teams to ensure infrastructure meets long-term performance and maintenance goals.
  • Ensure commissioning processes are rigorous and aligned with hyperscale customer expectations.

Risk Management

  • Implement construction risk management practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Champion site safety culture and ensure adherence to environmental and occupational health standards.
  • Other duties ancillary to the foregoing or as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial or industrial construction, with at least 5+ years leading hyperscale or mission-critical data center or industrial builds.
  • Deep understanding of MEP, civil, and structural systems related to large-scale data centers or industrial construction.
  • Proven experience managing multi-hundred-million-dollar projects across multiple locations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience with construction delivery models and contracts (e.g., GMP, EPC, CM-at-Risk).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • PMP, PE, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Effective communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and NetSuite strongly preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Remote: If employee is not based in the Las Vegas or DFW area, then periodic travel to a main office location is expected when required or directed by supervisor.

Frequent travel to project sites will be required.

30-50% domestic travel is estimated.
